Tied for 5th in even strength points among rookies. Of the other nine players in the top 10, only Stuetzle is younger, Ty Smith is nine months older and the other seven are anywhere from 17 months to 3 years older.

For a guy who gets zero time on the pp or in OT, Hoglander is beyond impressive. One of the hardest things to do in the NHL is score five-on-five goals.

A kid who just turned 20 in December and a fixture in the top six from the drop of the puck this season. How can you ask for any more than that.

Hoglander does get PP time but carry on...

We haven't. That's why Benning is still employed. Once his trades/signings improve we will see a Stanley Cup in Vancouver.

It remains a mystery why the swelled-heads of Hogtown didn't draft him. It would have been a marketing coup.
