Niku on waivers for buyout

Not sure how Niku didnt get a better chance to succeed in NHL? A defenceman with good offensive play. I`d imagine some team would need help on their PP etc?

67gp 2g 14a 16p with very little icetime and almost no PP

2021-2022 on a shitty Canadiens team:

12gp 0g 6a 6p +3

2022-2023 Liiga

54gp 9g 33a 42p on a shitty team.

2023-2024 Liiga

7gp 4g 9a 13p on the same team as last yr.

He is still only 26yrs old. I`d like to see him get a chance . Ideally he would be a 5-6d with PP1 time. PP is where he succeeds.

So what? He wasn't a Wing in 21 and there is no talk of him being one now over 2 years later. What does this have to with the Red Wings?

Not really no. A Niku thread should be on a forum of a team he actually played for. It is also not normal to bump years old threads.

Good for him. This doesn’t belong here. There is a reason Sami Niku is in the Liiga and not in America.
