I wouldn't use Kulemin's point total in the RSL as a benchmark for future NHL scoring, especially when compared to some of the other players like Ovechking.

Perezhogin outscored both Ovechkin and Malkin in the same season in the RSL, and look how that turned out.

Perez 04-05 0,76 ppg. 10.08.83
Ovechkin 04-05 0,72 ppg. +2 years 1 month and 5 days..
Malkin 04-05 0,69 ppg. +2 years 11 months 20 days..

Kulemin scored 37 goals in the last season (reg. season + playoffs), Perez scored 21 in the 04-05.. really.. two different levels...

I think he means overall competitiveness in the RSL was much higher during 04/05 so the totals are more equivalent.

Woah, equivalent? 21 goals compared to 37 goals is NOT equivalent. If Kulemin had better linemates he wouldve had twice as much points - he had to do it all himself. Watch some clips of him, 90% of his goals come from his work alone. A few of his goals came from a nice feed, but 90% of them are solely due to his efforts.

I really think he's getting vastly overrated now. I like him, and he can be a nice top 6 forward in the future, but 30-40 goals. I don't think so, I say more likely 25-30 goals, while playing a banging style, which is still a gem.
