If he decides to come back, I'd look to sign him to a 4-6 year 4-5m avg/year contract. Wouldn't even hesitate.

Haha this rat deserves it, to hell with him. Hope the Putin league wont sign him, hope the NHL steers clear, and hope the guy realizes that hating our league, our country, our city, the way we like freedom... that the way he did this WILL have consequences. No mercy, no forgiveness, until the guy truly admits the MASSIVE error of his ways

Ok, Simple Jack.
Not everything is so black and white, quit it with the us vs them, divisive mentality.

Only when Tryamkin quits doing it first and mans up to his big f up

How did he f*** up? He was not signed by the canucks, was a restricted free agent, and decided to sign back home. He didn't do anything against the rules and he had more than enough reason to go home and make sure that he was playing minutes so that he could improve. By the sounds of it, he's improved dramatically and it may end up to be a massive bonus to our lineup. He wasn't getting the ice time he required.... or deserved. He had shown he was at the very worst, the 3rd best dman in the lineup by the end of the year.

We talk about fans sending death threats to players. This is not far from that. You hope someone who slighted your team (a mega-million dollar corporation) and hope that his career is over. I know that's your schtick but learn some perspective.

How do you feel about Pavel Datsyuk ditching the NHL and playing in the KHL?

Wouldn't that be something if he were to terminate his contract and come over this season...

Edit: or would he have to clear waivers? or is that just for mid-season UFA euro signings?

Tryamkin is on the Canucks' reserve list so he would not need to clear waivers. But he needs to sign before Dec. 1 to be eligible to play this season.

he is an unsigned rfa who can sign here tomorrow but i think he's going to need to wait for someone to have an injury.

the question for me is whether he will pick up where he left off or not. something got him benched as a captain in the khl on a juggernaut team. if that something is fitness or complaining about ice time he's not going to be happy here.

He needs to sign a bridge.

He was promising when he was here... but not quite there.
And he had a good season by all accounts last season.. but this year apparently... he's still not quite there.

1 yr contract if he has anything other than an all-star caliber season in the K... He'll need to prove he has NHL reliability, skill, IQ to play more than 18 mins/nights.. even in 17 months since he's left, the game has taken a step forward in the speed department... and he may not be here another 1 or 2 seasons yet.

If he DOES play at a KHL all-star caliber level the next season or two and he passes the scout's eye test... then you lock him up as an asset management move since he'll be on the brink of UFA status.

Please trade Gudbranson and sign Tryamkin immediately.

I was skeptical when he came. I thought he'd be a big pylon like Gudbranson. He was really good.

Please sign.

Sure, but he’s not half right. The world is more than black and white

it's a lot more black and white than you think, sonny. maybe go talk politics someplace else. people here with actual life experience do not need to read your precious takes on a subject you clearly do not understand.
