Kucherov, 8 games left, 95 points
McDavid, 8 games left, 94 points
MacKinnon, 8 games left, 92 points
Malkin, 8 games left, 91 points
Giroux, 7 games left, 90 points

Man, it's close.

McDavid is going to win it. If only Kucherov's goal scoring didn't go ice cold after the New Year. Scored 25 in 38 games before the New Year and only 12 in 34 games after.

His pre-NY pace had him at 54 goals in 82 games.

His post-NY pace has him at 29 goals in 82 games.

He's not producing like he was in the first 20 games. MacKinnon and McDavid are on fire. He probably finishes 3rd in the points race now.

Yeah can't fault the other guys - Kuch's production has been like his play the second half - just coasting along.

Looks like the Art Ross will slip away from him but should be able to hit 100 points which I'm pretty excited about.

He can even set a new record for points in a season for a Lightning player. Currently Vinny has it at 108 points.

He'd have to get 13 points in 7 games to hit 108. He can certainly do it but I highy doubt he will. I don't think he cares about it too much and it doesn't look like he has cared for a while about anything since we've made the playoffs long time ago.

McDavid is now 6 points ahead of Kuch on a trash team. Meanwhile Eric freaking Staal scored his 40th goal this season (Kuch at 38). lulz

Speaking of taking their foot off the gas. Hes a guy you would think wouldnt have done this. He hasnt looked the same at all. Remember how dominant he was early in the year?

I tend to agree with Darren. Looked like shoulder is the first point of contact even if not direct. Was still first.

It just blows my mind how people opine on this shit with no idea what they're talking about. Pointing out things like "blind side" - which is completely irrelevant to the rules for like the past four seasons - is asinine.

It was a big hit. Sucks Vatanen got hurt, but you can get hurt by clean hits in this sport.
