Extremely weird poll since Hischier put up 52, and 47 (in 69 games) in 2 seasons where Suzuki was in the OHL lmao. They may both have 12 points this season (albeit Hischier has 3 games less), but that does not replace the last 2 years of precedence where 1 player was good enough to be effective in the NHL, and the other was not.

At this point it wouldn't be a total shock if Suzuki becomes the better player but the odds are against it.

At this point I'd have to go with Hischier, but I am curious why his numbers are relatively weak so far. Has he not improved much from his first/second seasons? Or has he improved but he's off to an unlucky start?

Pretty sure everyone without bias cannot truly answer the question since it is wayyyy too early in Suzuki's career and pretty early in Hischier's career to know how they will pan out.

Agreed, but Hischier is the clear answer as of today of who I would want on my team.

As a rookie getting super iffy usage he’s already pretty much on pace for his “ceiling”

Also, he is PPG in his last 6 since starting to take regular top-6 shifts and PP1 time.

This is a question for the entire Devils team. No one has looked consistently good. It’s depressing to watch.
