Yes, totally like Marner except not as fast, not as good of a skater, less grit, not as good at carrying up the puck, and does not have as good of one timers. Besides that just like Marner!

Whoa Mrs Marner you are laying it on a little thick aren’t ya?

Less grit ? I don’t see a ton of Leaf games and maybe you see more of your boy Mitch most but come on. I’ve never watch Marner and thought , wow he has some sand paper to his game.

Its amazing how offended you were at the mere mention of them in the same breath. Suzuki is fresh outta the O and doesn’t exactly play with Matthews and co.... give him a few years

This series was a pretty good gauge of where Suzuki is currently and just how good he could be. This was a tall ask to line up vs Crosby and Malkin all series long. On top of that, he was the main guy in all situations. Didn't look out of place at all.

He's already already a 1C or close to it and he's looking like he could be a 70 point 2 way C really soon.

He has a lot of Bergeron-esque qualities. Plays good defense without sacrificing too much offense (where it was harder for Plekanec and Danault). Plays well most situations. Smart plays all over the ice, not many turnovers.

The center situation in Montreal may have turned in dramatic fashion over the year from a major weakness to, potentially, a major strenght with Suzuki-KK-Danault and Domi (we'll have to see where he slots as a 4C is not realistic for the regular season).

I think he only needs to have a longer stick and he'll be very similar to Datsyuk in terms of style and vision. But Datyuk had long arms, that's what made him so good at take aways.

Yeah Bergeron has always been the player I see in Suzuki, we can only hope he becomes half as good.

Can you, please? Just let me deal with my grief in my own way. Trying to feel good with what I already have. Thank you
Let me help you with your grief. Suzuki was drafted 13th....3 spots ahead of where we're slated to go.....if we don't screw it up and win another series.

Are the Habs not drafting 16th regardless, unless they make the conference finals?
