Straight up swap.

Ducks could use a guy who’s not holding out. Coyotes could use some sandpaper. Perlini has better offensive upside. Ritchie plays a more multi-faceted game.

That’s it. Pretty straight-forward. They’re the same age. Drafted two spots apart.

Let the flaming begin! :)

I like Perlini a lot, Coyotes lose this handily imo.

You want a physical lw? Lucic is free...
I’d absolutely love to add Lucic. Given that his signing bonus is already paid for this season, I think we’d be interested at 30% retention. Not offering Perlini for him, though.

I'd rather the Ducks keep working on getting Ritchie signed. We have some skilled young players but the current forward group is pretty soft. Ritchie can bring some balance.

Plus it's been reported he's been training hard with Gary Roberts this off season, and he's right around the age where some of these big guys can start to put it together. I want to see if he can take the next step in Anaheim.

We absolutely cant retain (1m at max), but what about Lucic + for Perlini?

Is this hold out real? Is it pretty amicable or pretty contentious? Media only covers Nylander. Hard to find any Ritchie quotes.
There's no info at all out there so i think it's pretty contentious, like the sides aren't even talking.

The player is NOT holding out. That refers to having a contract and not reporting.

This is a player who doesn’t have a contract, there is no method for him to report until he has agreed to terms.

I’m not!
It’s important to get the terminology correct. Kind of like strike and lock out.

Honestly, hoping that the next cba gives all players arbitration rights. This is ridiculous that guys like nylander and Ritchie don’t have contracts.

In ritchies case it sounds like the ducks want him for some term like 3 years at their number. Virtanen signed in the summer for 2 years at $1.25 mill per. That’s pretty much the deal that Ritchie should be getting. But again, it was reported in HNIC that the ducks are trying to use his lack of arbitration rights to lock him in longer. A 1 year deal gets him to arbitration.

I wouldn’t take Lucic at full salary if you added your first round pick in the deal and let us dump Brad Richardson on you. That’s without Perlini.
eww. no way. really think Lucic as a cap dump is worth their 1st for Perlini. guy has yet to exceed 30 points in a season. Perlini isn't worth that much. hes just a winger
