You need to ask about Red Kelly?????

Gadsby a maybe???

I'd suggest that you browse through the Top Players of All Time lists stickied to the top of this forum if you want to start this project from a place of knowledge.

If this is a top-300 skaters list, why would you not count Kelly's career at forward? Either way he would make it, but since it's a list that includes both forwards and defensemen it seems weird to split up Kelly's career. Did you plan on having him up for forward voting as well? What if he made it twice? (Though I guess he probably wouldn't)

If he makes it on as a defenseman (which I'm sure he will), I won't include him as a forward voting option.

Okay... I checked out the lists and took a closer look at Gadsby's career. I'll add him to the "yes" column. I didn't realize he was that good.

The Hockey News had him ranked 99th out of 100 on a list of the 100 best NHL players of all time and the publication of the list that I have doesn't say too much about him other than mentioning he had to be rescued from the Atlantic Ocean at age 12 because he and his mother had been on an ocean liner that was torpedoed during WWII and that he spent ten days in an isolation unit because he had polio at age 25.

It also states he didn't win any awards, but one from of the voting discussions for the top defensemen of all-time project on here, I found out he finished in the top three for Norris voting five times. Thus he's an obvious choice.

I'll take some more time to read the discussions for best forwards, defensemen and goalies on this board.

On what basis does Magnuson avoid elimination??
