I read that Dominik Hasek & Jason Spezza wanted to play in the AHL this year rather than sit-out. The article said Hasek would be allowed to play on an extended conditioning assignment and that Spezza was simply 'eligible'. Does anyone know who else is eligible and/or planning to play in the minors?

Just taking a look at some of the transactions today, guys like Staal, Cammalleri, Junior Lessard, Dustin Brown, Dan Paille, Ryan Miller, Thomas Vanek, Nikolai Zherdev, Tim Gleason, Denis Grebeshkov, Dan Haimhus, Kevin Klein, Ryan Suter, Jordin Tootoo, Scott Upshall, Keith Ballard, and Mike Egener...add John Boychuk, Marek Svatos, Carlo Colaiacovo, and Matt Stajan...

Wow, that is a hell of a list of young talent, and its only gonna get bigger by the end of the night. To go along with the Toivonen, Jurcina, Boyes, Hilbert, and maybe even Bergeron in Providence. I am definetly gonna be going to see some AHL games this year.

Hey, we may have a lock out, but at least we get to see a close up look at the superstars of tomorrow with New England teams in Manchester, Lowell, Worcester, Providence, Portland, and Hartford.
