I know there was a thread on how many players got affected by the Lindros trade, but we also talk about who wins or loses each trade. (Note: I am aware there are other assets included, but we'll focus on the main premise).
One example I just noticed is this:
It starts with the draft: Hartford selects Chris Pronger
Pronger traded to St. Louis for Shanahan
Shanahan traded to Detroit for Primeau
Primeau traded to Philadelphia for Brind'Amour
The trade effect has ended. All-in-all, I think the trade worked out well for Hartford/Carolina.
Another one I noticed was the Chelios for Simard trade.
Chicago selects Denis Simard
Simard traded to Montreal for Chelios
Chelios traded to Detroit for Eriksson
Eriksson traded to Florida for Spacek
Spacek traded to Columbus for Odelein
Odelein traded to Dallas for 7th round pick = Troy Brouwer
Brouwer traded to Washington for 1st round pick = Phillip Danault
Danault traded to Montreal for Dale Weise
The trade effect has ended for Chicago. Right now it looks Montreal has the best of the Chelios trade, although it is amazing to think that if it weren't for Simard being drafted by Chicago Brouwer might've never been a Blackhawk.
