Moving along. Would like to define four groups of players that comprise an NHL team regardless of the season.
Player = Skater or goalie. Season = Regular schedule or playoffs.
Rookie
Played his first NHL game during that specific season
Regular
Played or dressed in at least half of the regular season games.
Transient
Played or dressed in less than half of the regular season games AND played during another season or seasons.
Retired
Played his last NHL game during that specific season.
Certain instance produce the obvious overlaps - one game player would be considered both a Rookie and a Retired player but a proper conducted study cancels such phenomena without an impact on the core result.
Comments appreciated.
Thank you.
