Is there a reason why you don't see college and junior goalies wearing NHL style goalie masks? Is it a cost thing or are there rules prohibiting that type of mask?

Is there a reason why you don't see college and junior goalies wearing NHL style goalie masks? Is it a cost thing or are there rules prohibiting that type of mask?

It was against NCAA rules until a year or so ago. You are starting to see nhl cat-eye cages in college hockey now.
