There probably should be a rule to the effect that a post in this section should contain either of the following :
- A Retired Player
- A Verb in(at?) the Past Tense

This OP contains none of these.

(Mods, you can probably delete this post afterwards, since it brings absolutely nothing to the issue, and there's probably some room for this thread on HOH... )

Laurie Boschman was a born-again Christian, and Harold Ballard publicly ridiculed him for it on multiple occasions.

In Quebec, roughly:

French: Catholic

Anglo: Protestant

Irish: Catholic

Using this framework, I'd guess Aurèle Joliat was catholic, Doug Harvey was protestant and Newsy Lalonde was catholic, even though I have no idea if they really were.Unless Harvey was Irish? Was he?

Must be said that being a french Quebecois and catholic in the 1940s is not a very original thing to be.

Yeah, I mean, as a rule of thumb, French Q were Roman Catholics, English Q were Protestant of some denomination. You had French Q who were Protestant (Baptists are far from uncommon), but I can't exactly point to one French Q and say "This one was Baptist".

This isn't going anywhere positive. Do not remake this thread anywhere else.
