I went to high school with Jesse Wincester (Ottawa Senators) and a friend of my has a great uncle, John Sorrell, who played for Detroit. Our former Member of Parliament, Bob Kilger, was an NHL ref and his son Chad spent a few years in the NHL.

27 players.

From Mickey Roach, born May 1, 1895, to Chris Bourque born January 29, 1986....

....(actually Benn Ferriero b. April 29, 1987 is the latest, but I couldn't resist using Bourque's name, lol).

Little old Boxford has 27 players???

Tom Fitzgerald, great player as a youth. We used to play against him at Babson quite often, Billerica had good teams back then.

That they did. Ralph Hallenborg, given the WHL and expansion, was almost certainly a lock for at least the WHL. He would have made it 5.

I had the distinct pleasure of being on some of the worst Billerica teams since the early 80s.

Bratislava
Born and raised in Bratislava.

Considering we are the run away most populous city in the country, we didn't produce a lot of NHL players, but there are some gems -

Peter Stastny
Marian Stastny
Anton Stastny

Jaroslav Halak - only active NHL player from Bratislava. An acquaintance of mine went to elementary school with him. Btw he said he was always kind of slow and kind of bullied the younger kids a little bit :) (to be exact, he used the words "robil zle", it doesn't mean exactly "bullied", but that's the closest translation I can come up with) Seems really humble now, I guess he had to go through a lot to get where he is now. Plus everyone is dumb as a kid.

Some more obscure past NHL players born in Bratislava -

Dusan Pasek
Marian Cisar
Stanislav Gron

Note: there are probably more players from North York who have their birth place listed as "Toronto".

Ya, there are. Dozens more. Some listed as Willowdale, others Toronto, but from North York proper......

I was born and currently live in the same town of 71,000. Despite It's decent population the town of Brossard hasn't managed to produce any notable players, though granted a couple junior players.

Neighboring cities here on the South shore of Montreal, having lower populations have produced some fairly decent players though.

Greenfield Park :
Sylvain Couturier(Father of Sean Couturier)
Torrey Mitchell
Gary Galley
Jerome Samson
Wally Weir
Frederic St Denis

St Lambert:
Steve Kasper
Jean-Marc Pelletier
Don McIver

Nothing much at all, a former Frank J. Selke winner in Kasper. I suppose Gary Galley is the best of the bunch.

From the municipality of about 30,000 I'm from, only Kim Johnsson. Patrik Hersley (Kings/Flyers) was in the AHL, but never played in the NHL.

- Don't know how many of the 27 Boston born players are from this neighborhood. There are others also listed from the Charlestown, Brighton and Dorchester neighborhoods, (probably the Catholic hospitals).

See there's where my one problem lies. For instance Jim Carey is labeled as a Dorchester born player but all that means is he was born at Carney Hospital. If you look at my birth certificate is says Dorchester also but I never lived a day in Dotty like Jim Carey. We were both Weymouth guys.

Surprisingly, my American town has quite a few players that have made the jumped to the NHL.

Bobby Allen
Jim Carey (moved to Weymouth as a youth, we used to tool him playing shinny)
Mark Holden
Gerry McDonald
Bobby Sheehan
Kurt Walker
Tim Sweeney (ex-teammate of mine in WYH)
Brian Noonan
Cleon Daskalakis (not sure if he was Weymouth or Hingham)

Not bad for a small American town.
Brian Noonan grew up in Southie.

While no NHLer (or any person of any kind of impact in any field that I know of) has grown up in the town of about 5,000 inhabitants that I grew up in, Loui Eriksson and Viktor Stålberg are from the same municipality as me though, as are the Klingberg brothers.

Eastern Mass.
I've lived in Acton, MA for the past 18 years, so I consider it my hometown. Acton and neighboring Boxborough have a combined school system. So here's the rundown of NHLers who grew up in Acton, Boxborough and/or attended A-B high school. Acton and Boxborough have a combined population of about 26,000.

Tom Barrasso (Lived in Stow, MA, but graduated from A-B high and went straight to the NHL, winning the Calder and Vezina one year out of A-B.)
Jeff Norton
Bob Sweeney
Ian Moran
Bob Brooke
Brad Norton
Ted Crowley

And Hal Gill supposedly played in the Acton-Boxborough Youth Hockey organization in his early years, but his hometown is Bolton, MA.

Alright that's enough of that , sorry lots of little towns around here. None of them have more than a couple thousand people in them though, all in one county though.

Moncton.... uhhh :/

Should maybe get some in the future now that we've had a Q team for 15 years, so kids who grew up watching them are now NHL-Age (say they were 5 back then they're 20 now etc...).
