Oct. 23: Maple Leafs need a different mindset - Sportsnet.ca

Brian Lawton was on HC12 today to talk about the Leafs (duh), but the content is pretty much applicable to the Sharks. He talks about trying to outscore problems, leaving goalies out to dry, bad turnovers in the neutral zone, etc. It's funny how the media seems to absolving Andersen of fault by saying the commitment to team defense isnt there, whereas in San Jose it's all on Jones.

Amber and Stewart then go on later to talk about Couture's comments, but nothing too exciting from that conversation

This might be true among the casual fans in San Jose but I don’t think it’s true for the media at all. If you pay attention to our broadcast team when they talk about Jones, they are always extremely cautious about criticizing him, but always feel the need to mention that the defense makes things hard on him.
