NHL getting more information for upcoming negotiations.

Would be great, but I doubt it.

NBCSN is where the NHL has a contract (that expires THIS SUMMER). The deal with NBCSNCA goes for a bunch more years.

It's been rumored that ESPN wants to get back into showing some games. CBS and Fox also might, want some games. NBC may still participate, but show games on other channels (MSNBC, CNBC, USA among other cable channels).


NHL wants some OTA games through the season, and especially the playoffs. With the NBC deal, ALL playoff games are available nationally (with some games in the first round not exclusive, so the regional carriers could carry them).

Lol laine puts up nearly the same amount of goals in a season as dubois does points.

A stud that is a 40 point player, i guess 40 year old thornton is still a stud.

Yeah my thoughts are that Columbus wins this deal personally. If Laine signs long term he will likely be the best player the franchise has had since Rick Nash (Panarin tenure too short). Great haul for the Jackets considering they had an asset that wanted out.

I was one of a handful of people who liked PLD more than Laine before the draft and was my favorite player on the Jackets.

Oh well, I do believe the team got better a little bit.

If he was the best player vs the leafs last year then they are very lucky they made it out of the round considering he did nothing in 4 of the 5 games.

He wasn't their best player, that was either Jones or Korpisalo, but he was by far the best forward on a team lacking in forward depth that plays a very conservative style which stifles what little offensive talent they have

Even if you think he did "nothing" in the other games, he did score a hat trick in a 3 goal comeback win, including the tying goal and the OT winner, in a series that went the distance, so he was still literally a difference maker that swung the series, but I don't know how anyone who actually watched that series could say he did "nothing" in the other games just because he wasn't putting up points, he was incredible

One player got put on LTIR yesterday. At least one coach tested positive (and entire staff stayed out of game Tuesday).




Status on games vs Sharks will be decided in 1-2 days (so by Saturday).

Thankfully it is like 7 days from the start to the game vs sharks. Lots of time to catch it all before it affects another game.

New procedures include removal of glass behind benches, air purifier on benches. Expanded locker room space to have 6' between stalls. And arrivals before game not more than one hour, 45 minutes for all. All game day meetings virtual.
