Brodeur as #1? Sorry, but that just supports my hypothesis that the good goalie is a wee bit overrated.

There are several goaltenders within the ballpark of each other, but only a handful of truly superstar forwards. In my opinion.

Care to share why you picked him number 1? Is he your favourite? You didn't think he'd drop back to you? Would you have rather drafted tenth or so to get him?

Drafting with discussion is way more fun.

Well, since we're discussing it....If you ask me, it's a solid pick. Goaltending is probably the most important position on a team, and Brodeur is probably the best goalie in the world. He wouldn't have made it past 7, so you can be assured, if he wanted Brodeur, he picked him at the right time.

If you have 12 hours, then you have 12 hours to make a selection!
Somebody should be taking care of this draft better.

I think a few of us might not have realized that the draft has started. Let's cut them a little slack until the draft is mid-round.

I suggest that if someone misses their draft pick then default to last year's top scorer available, because, otherwise, the one who missed may stop playing, and that's not good for any of us.

So, I suggest we start the clock now, give 12 hours, then start autodrafting from the scoring list if necessary.

I'd think that sometimes people can't make it on for a day or 2. If they get too far behind no problem, but things can change in a hurry. I'd say autodraft for them at the end of the round if they miss a pick. Within a few picks should be no big deal, just shouldn't get too far behind.

if a team misses their 12 hr time limit, they should be simply skipped and then can pick once they are online again. if that happens to be after 4 or 5 other people draft, then so be it, but they shouldnt be defaulted to the BPA and thus penalizing us who make our picks on time

once the 12 hrs pass for one pick, that person is skipped, then the next person is on the clock for their 12 hrs.

everyone has to maintain the draft, not just the person running it

That is the perfect solution. Look i have done my share so far. I PM'ed Fredez yesterday right after i picked the order. I have PMed PensFan95 tellin him he is up.
Therefore PensFan95 has until 7EST or he is then skipped and i make the next pick

I had school from 8 up until 2pm and worked immediatly after until 11pm so I couldn't make my pick.

Since the following pick is not yet made I guess I can pick Ilya Kovalchuk

It's been past the 12 hour timeframe for a lil while now. I would say go ahead and make a pick and once the person before you logs on, they can make their pick. I think that is what we agreed to earlier....correct??

Yeah. We agreed that after the 12 hours is up, the next guy can just pick, and the one who missed a pick can pick theirs up anytime as soon as they can.

That means, even if nobody picks, my Vancouver Canucks will have the honour of selecting no later than (and maybe much earlier than) 72 hours after misfit's The Winnipeg Jet's selection.

Under 55 hours now, and counting...
