"Starting next season NHL players will be serving double-duty as players and marketing execs.

Sportsnet.ca -- A group of NHL team presidents gathered in New York on Thursday to discuss the league's business initiatives moving forward. Of the topics discussed, marketing was given a great deal of attention.

As early as next season NHL players will have direct input into how the game is marketed, and for that matter, whose names and faces are attached to future campaigns.

Sources tell Sportsnet each team will provide at least one player to act as a business representative to work in conjunction with the NHLPA and the NHL on all revenue generating initiatives."

Wow. What a radical approach.
Gotta love the NHL's ballsy marketing department.

For Trevor’s shoot, the NHL wanted him to look like a serious, hard-worked athlete who had just finished playing an intense hockey game.
Good thing they didn't get Bertuzzi to do that. He'd fail miserably.

Holy Crap. Shorty and Tom on CKNW weren't kidding, Linden has lost a TON of weight.

Get that boy a case of Twinkees and a steady supply of Tim Horton's Doughnuts.
