So the guess is 5 Oilers are in the area and that's what they would start with. Leafs starting with around 20 guys.

Girls just want to have fun. That is what it sounds like. The Canadians could start heading back anytime now to Edmonton. McDavid has been skating in the GTA so I assume other Oilers have been as well.
I wonder what Pop Music the Leafs WundR Boy coach will have them skating too out there?
Are the twins lacing the skates up for one more run?Girls just want to have fun.
Hoping covid devoured their goal song. One thing I haven't missed. That is what it sounds like. The Canadians could start heading back anytime now to Edmonton. McDavid has been skating in the GTA so I assume other Oilers have been as well.

Only someone from Las Vegas would think Las Vegas is perfect. Who in the holy f*** wants to spend a 50 degree heat summer in Vegas cooped up in a hotel with virus carrying tourists wanting autographs around every corner?
Las Vegas is only going to get this because the NHL owes them one from the brutal ref job in last years playoff which cost the Knights significant playoff revenue. That said, kill off a 5 minute penalty without allowing 4 goals in 4 minutes you knot heads.
So in my humble opinion, Vegas can f*** right off. MOD
If they make a poor choice they risk next season. Vegas is a poor choice.
If there's a place that demands a 14 day quarantine, and a place that doesn't, I don't begrudge them for picking the smoother option, especially since they already have their isolation protocol going on well in advance of the tournamentThey are f***ing nuts to make Vegas a hub city.
Personally if the NHLPA doesn’t want to quarantine for 2 weeks - if that is still even an issue in August - then just call the season quits now.
I don’t want them to get two or three weeks into this and have to shut it down again. That would suck way worse than just calling it quits.
I feel like if there will be a 2nd wave Vegas is pretty much the perfect environment for it to spread. Vegas sucks in the summer as is. Add in riots and the perfect conditions for a virus to spread and it’s not a good mix.between the massive protests across the world, particularly in the States...and the scenes in the Casinos in Vegas...seems most people aren't too worried about the virus anymore
having the games in Vegas seems more plausible due to the 14-day quarantine though...despite the insanity down there

And btw, the back to playing plan has a mechanism for if a player tests positive for covid. There's no need to cancel it.
In a simulation, we will win the cup..

There is literally no reason for them to do this.NHL needs to announce the hub cities, start date for training camp and the start of the play in games

Pretty much this. They have given some loose guidelines and don't want to commit to anything quite yet. Keep all the hub Cities interested so that if something happens to one they still have some plan B's that are ready to go.They are already on record as saying the hub cities will be announced about 3rd-4th week of June when they announced the return to play guidelines. July 10-14 is their target for training camp. Early August is the target to start games.
Why do they need to be more specific than this when they are dealing with a pandemic and now massive civic unrest in the US?
