NHL Expansion?

I've said it once and I'll say it again
no way the NHL ever has 32 teams (which would be 2 more than the popular leagues of MLB and NBA)

even with more Euros, they're not enough quality players out there to fill the rosters.

Relative to the 80s, there are too many quality players actually, but Winnipeg and Quebec will not see teams anytime soon.

I believe I have read (on this forum, iirc) that Winnipeg would need a very low cap to simply break even. I think the number was around $32 million.

Quebec will not even be considered until they get a new arena.

Would it not be most prudent to ensure the league survives before moving or adding teams?

pro sports will never end up in vegas. it's simply too costly (as in gambling) for any sport to even consider vegas

Umm... thus far baseball and hockey have both considered Las Vegas.
