Remember when Kotkaniemi was taken third last year, and while expected, it got us closer to potentially drafting Zadina.

Then remember when Tkachuk went 4th!!! And we all of a sudden were going to draft Zadina!!!!!! And then you heard "from the Soo" and the nightmare began.

"from the Mississauga" will be the new phrase to turn my stomach inside out and bring me to the forsaken land of two-day hangover. Please don't say this Chyaka/Cohen. For my liver...

I haven't been able to do an ounce of research this year, hoping I can at least gain a little surface knowledge tomorrow before the draft. As of now my outrage will merely be an extension of who you guys like.

WE JUST PASSED ON KREBS!!!

Krebs is 10 on McKenzie's list. He doesn't have to fall far for us to get him. I'm hoping for that.

rt has him at 3, I have him at 4, hbk has him at 5. Make it happen John.

Walk away with the first 2 picks of this draft being Tomasino/krebs/zegras and N. Robertson. Arizona will already be a top 5 team in terms of success i believe.

List posting time?

1. Hughes
2. Kakko

3. Krebs
4. Turcotte

5. Podkolzin
6. Zegras

7. Dach
8. Cozens
9. Byram
10.Caufield

11.Newhook
12.Boldy

^if those 12 are off the board, I trade the pick for the best scorer I can get. Or at least trade down into the 20s and pick up an extra 2nd.

Just for the record, I like Brink, Kaliyev and Tomasino 13-15. Probably Lavoie just after that.

Then comes a huge swath of D, I suppose. But I really like Egor Afanasyev and Nick Robertson for forwards. Nils Höglander, too. Do not like Ryan Suzuki at all. Probably would not him I’m my top 31.

A Galchenyuk for Kreider swap?
If the interest in bringing Galchenyuk back at a somewhat sensible rate isn’t at least warm, and mutually so, than why not?

I just need to say that the idea of trading Galchenyuk for a scorer is pretty dumb. We need to add scoring, not simply upgrade it. We need to add Kreider or Kessel to Galchenyuk, not swap them. But if Galchenyuk isn’t inclined to get a long term deal done with Arizona and/or Chayka and/or Tocchet is lukewarm on committing long term to Galchenyuk, I guess we have to.

Moving Domi was so dumb. I’m pretty ready to move on from Chayka.

We'd have to trade up a lot to get Zegras.
Most likely, I wouldnt trade up though, but IF he somehow fell he'd be a steal
He is just one of the handful of players id even considering taking with a top 20 pick this year.. I didnt bother listing Hughes, Kakko, Turcotte for the reason that it's insane to think any of them might be available at 14
