Really? If so I would highly consider trading up for Demidov unless Kent thinks he'll fall to 5 organically. That's just my humble opinion though.

How does everyone see the top 5 shaking out as it stands?
I'm thinking it'll be something like:

1. San Jose - Celebrini
2. Chicago - Demidov
3. Anaheim - Levshunov
4. Columbus - Lindstrom
5. Montreal - No clue

Not shifting the order ahead of us is a huge barrier to getting Demidov or Lindstrom.

But we didn't drop so I'll take it.

Hopefully Hughes coming out and saying they're taking a forward stops the stupid "we are gonna take a D" jokes, but probably not.

Picking Iginla seems like a 90% sure thing right now. I want Lindstrom but I feel like Columbus is taking him.

I would not take Iginla at 5 and would prefer to trade down and try to get 2 top 15 picks. Or pick Buium or Dickinson at 5

Columbus could go either way. They need both forwards and D, particularly LD.

Ditto Chicago.

Anaheim I think takes D.

Hard to predict, but hopefully, 2 of Chicago, Anaheim & Columbus take D.

And Kent Hughes JUST said that they are mostly aiming at a forward but if a RIGHT D-MAN is ahead of the forward, that they'll think about it.

But nope....the Habs do not pick by needs...lol.

We all wanted to move up, but staying at 5 is a huge win in my books. No way I thought we'd be picking top 5 this draft going into this past season. Dach's injury and Newhook's long absensce has to definitely be seen as a blessing in disguise.

We're going to get a great prospect at 5 no matter how the draft shakes out.

He is most open to drafting a forward, or a RHD. (because we have less depth in these positions, but we are strong on LHD)
