- Also saw them playing live here 94 and tried to see the players in crowded Stockmann department store...it was impossible as you couldn't even get in there.

I met Selanne once over at Westminster Ice last year while playing hockey there. Unreal guy, he was talking to me and my friend for almost 20 minutes after our hockey game. And it was about how awesome hockey was, and how much we enjoyed playing. You would never expect that from a professional athlete to a fan ever.... Super stoked about meeting him. Can't imagine how you Finns feel about him.

Great article. I remember when I got my first NHL videogame in 98, and I had no clue of any players in the league whatsoever. Asked my dad if he knew about any stars, and who'd he mention? Teemu.
