It'll be Monday June 20. For one thing, that's my son's 3rd birthday & it's fitting - did I ever tell you that he's gonna be "the next Crosby"?? And for another, it's the last day of spring - that way they can't say that it'll drag on til summer.

Some predicted details:

- ufa starts july 1 as usual for those under contract who's expiration date is 2005, for those players who's contracts expired in 2004, they can be signed immediately

- unsigned draft picks back to the team that drafted them

- Crosby ends up a Ranger (draft held in NYC, expected 1st rd picks will attend)

- Linkage is the deal, salary cap for rookies, baseball style arbitration
