So, he hasn't waived his NTC? If none of those eight teams takes Backes and his contract, then Boston is stuck with him. In that case, I'd imagine that the team would assign him to Providence.
Hasn't waived it but the fact that he's submitted the list is a big step

Probably all contending teams doubtful that any would be interested.

The Ritchie signing tells me they have no plans of Backes being on the roster. Whether a trade or P bruins.

Just my two cents. I have no sources lol.

I guess it depends on where Andersson and Lauko end up (I'm led to believe they will be in the Q) and they will be slides. And of course the trade isn't done yet.

Hey Dom, maybe a dumb question and honestly I'm not sure why I thought of this, but since Lauko was drafted from Europe, could he start the season in PRO and then go down to the Q?

Not sure if there would be any reason or advantage to give him a taste of AHL hockey to start the season.
