You are assuming that both Miller and Moore are back next year. Something tells me one if not both are gone prior to camp. That’s not enough .
Hasn't waived it but the fact that he's submitted the list is a big stepSo, he hasn't waived his NTC? If none of those eight teams takes Backes and his contract, then Boston is stuck with him. In that case, I'd imagine that the team would assign him to Providence.
Lemme see if I can guess...
St. Louis
Chicago
Montreal
NY Rangers
LA
San Jose
Toronto
Pheonix
Now let's see who owns him at the end of the day.
Probably all contending teams doubtful that any would be interested. So, he hasn't waived his NTC? If none of those eight teams takes Backes and his contract, then Boston is stuck with him. In that case, I'd imagine that the team would assign him to Providence.
He's also not a DBagIf I knew I was on an 8 team list I would hold the Bruins up. He prob put all teams up against the cap on it. he's not an idiot.

I guess it depends on where Andersson and Lauko end up (I'm led to believe they will be in the Q) and they will be slides. And of course the trade isn't done yet.
I'm trying to be positive.. for onceIt's normal for Sweeney on July 1 to ask players for their lists. Probably has Krejci's as well.
Hey Dom, maybe a dumb question and honestly I'm not sure why I thought of this, but since Lauko was drafted from Europe, could he start the season in PRO and then go down to the Q?
Not sure if there would be any reason or advantage to give him a taste of AHL hockey to start the season.
I'm trying to be positive.. for once
Retirement sounds wonderful. In about 3o more years.. sighI try to be positive all the time. But I'm retired now
