That was easily a goal. Would have been an incredibly weak goalie interference call.

Rather they call the rule consistently. If a player is in the crease and gets in the goalies way and the puck goes in it should be no goal.

That was fine for me. The Bolts scored a very similar goal against the Rangers some time ago which was actually disallowed. I think that call was bullshit while this was good.

That nbc clip is terrible. Where's the overhead view to show what was happening leading up to McAvoy shot?

Based on that clip it's a pretty terrible call.


Especially given what we've seen get called back so far this year, I'm not sure how you can call that a good goal.

"Charlie McAvoy has a goal called off for goaltender interference, but after a coach's challenge, it counts." What's the problem? They fixed their mistake. That should be a goal.

That looked very clearly like a good goal. Not much controversy on this one really.....

I'm not familiar with the rule enough to know off the top of my head and I'm too tired to scroll through the rulebook to find it (damn I miss the days of the rulebook being on the NHL website instead of a PDF file). McAvoy's skate was clearly in the paint, but it looks to me like Vasilevsky initiated contact when he moved high into the crease.
