I think Lehner would be wise not to comment on this stuff. You don't always know people as well as you think and it's possible to get egg on your face and he wouldn't be the first person to misjudge a friend going through a divorce.

If you have the chance to upgrade from Nurse to Hamilton, obviously you take it. Doubt it was ever a possibility though.

I dont see a trade as viable right now (Probably should have been far more aggressive early in postseason if they truly wanted him gone) , They have option to buy him out in 2nd buyout window since Hill elected arbitration

2021-22 = $1,833,333
2022-23 = $3,833,333
2023-24 = $2,833,333
2024-25 = $1,833,333
2025-26 = $1,833,333
2026-27 = $1,833,333
2027-28 = $1,833,333

But this would go hand in hand for 6 years with Martin Jones buyout hits

If he is guilty of what he is being accused of, they would probably just terminate his contract.

True but if he is not guilty or no evidence is there to back it up his contract is going nowhere

I suspect if he is on team to start year the issues highlighted go away as team will be able to focus on game
