I guess it depends how you view him.

He’s had a very good career. Right around .920 and 2.40. He’s also played on some defensively stacked teams.

To me he’s been a pretty consistent and good goalie for the last decade+. I don’t think anyone thinks he is elite or ever has been, though.

I thought he really shit the bed on a lot of the goals in the SCF and his stats made him look better than he played. A bit like Rask in that way

From what I have seen, people tend to rank him as a top 10 goalie in any given year. And to me, he is average. Constantly shitting the bed in the post season.

People have ranked him ahead of Crawford, that's a joke.

Even back then he was overrated. I never considered him an elite goalie. And that's what makes him overrated, are people calling him elite.

I do think he was a dominant goalie for a short period of time, like Lehner is now IMO. The problem is the definition of elite is different for everyone.

Can they even fit him? I have a hard time thinking he'll end up with the Avs considering some of the contracts they're going to have to hand out, plus bonuses to some young guys.
