Interesting news. Given how digital this world is now sports organizations doing this really doesn't surprise me. Good on them to do so IMO.

I'm surprised they turned a blind eye to it for so long. Damn near everything on eBay is fake.

Damn near everything on eBay is fake.

If you know what to look for eBay is still a legit and great place. Now I have never purchased a Leafs jersey on there because it's easier and less expensive to get it in retail store like Pro Hockey Life or Sport Chek. However in the past on eBay I have purchased autographed pucks of various players and they were all 100% legit because the sellers had a COA and a hologram sticker on the puck, because those are things I know to look for.

If it didn't cost so damn much for a jersey, there wouldn't be as high of a demand for cheaper alternatives (illegal or not)
