What has happened to all of you, the same board that had members who said they'd never draft a winger in round 1 and insisted the best way to build was from the net out are going to choose a winger over the greatest goalie you've ever seen play?

I thought you were Lombardi disciples, he'd be disappointed in this pick. :laugh:
Hey, I went with probably the most dominant center of his time in Jean Beliveau. Never draft a goalie in the first round.

Gordie Howe for me and it is no question. 6 Art Ross trophies, which is 2nd all time. 6 Hart trophies, which is 2nd all time. Just utterly dominant and played for f***ing 32 years. I mean he put up 41 points at 51 years old. There is a reason he is called Mr. Hockey.

Good thing about getting Gordie is you don't have to worry about winger depth for a looooooooooooooong time. That, and he could shoot both right and left handed, so you have more flexibility when filling the other wing. Plus, he'd kick the shit out of those other top guys.
