If EA actually cared, they would charge a yearly fee for Roster updates and bug fixes. Then take their time and release a great game every 2-3 years.
The biggest problems with the game is the AI that helps manipulate outcomes online and the destruction of 6 on 6. EASHL used to be the most fun you could have in any video game. Now the game resembles the slogfest that you regularly see in the real NHL. Players are too big, the ice is too congested........defensemen have been completely neutered.

Absolutely this. Not sure if it's because of fixed animations, sloppy programming, or what the reason is; but it makes the game unplayable
To me, you shouldn't be able to have sliders and have a difficulty setting. The sliders should be the difficulty setting. Having a difficulty setting with sliders implies that you are slanting the ice in favor of the AI, rather than actually programming a difference in skaters and sliders. When you change the difficulty setting in NBA, the sliders change automatically.
Until that is fixed, this game will be subpar offline. No matter what features they add

If it’s true that they’re using frostbite for NHL 22 I’d advise everyone to stay away. Gonna be like NHL 15 on PS4 all over again

Ya know, if they just reworked everything in the game(passing, shooting, skating, defense etc etc):
I could live with bare bones for a year.
Yeah, I’m not optimistic. They failed just switched to next gen then.
This time? Both switched to next gen AND a whole new engine? Woof.
Though, it seems people have found indications they may have been working in the next gen with frostbite since mid-2019, and that leak seems to suggest it’s at least Early 2020.
So they started much earlier than they did last time, at least

For franchise mode I wish they would revamp the whole scouting. If they could fit everything on the screen so I don’t have to scroll over to see one thing. I always need to scroll to the right side to see how accurate the potential is when scouting AHL players.

What I've wanted forever is to see that all put in one 'universe'. Start off as a CHL or European GM and work your way to the NHL. Being able to transfer between different leagues in one play through would be incredible.
Maybe even add it as an option at the end of your Be A Pro career that when you retire you can weigh your options for where you want to be a GM. That way it would add to that mode and would be completely different each time as by that point it's all computer generated players.
They have to make cross play between xbox and ps in Europe. The game is so dead on xbox in Europe. Especially CHEL. We struggle to find any game at all, mostly in 6s. There’s too many modes now (threes, crap elimintaor where every shot goes in, etc). Noone plays 6v6 club here. Every day same story - spend 6h in lobbies and find max 4 games, and people still chicken out because they see P4 players.
So, get rid of all these useless modes to have more players in drop in or clubs, and bring cross platform for EU players.

Not just Europe but north America as well. You're absolutely right. There's way too many game modes and it's split up the community so much. You can't even find drop in games anymore.

Nothing will change because EA does not want to make a hockey game. EA wants to make a casino with hockey painted on.
Madden is the same.

Totally right about WOC and yeah cross-platform would be dope. One thing also that would be great would be the option to create open lobbies for clubs where single players could join. Or alternatively have sort of a bigger global lobby where as a player or club you could invite players to play (see their stats & positions etc.). At least with my club there is often a situation where we have like 4/6 guys ready to play but we won't because it sucks balls to play with skater bots.
