Not the same type of lottery. That only came in 2015 where as before, the worst case the worst team drafts 2nd OA. And if a team outside of the top 4 won, they only moved up a max of 3 spots, not into a top 3 pick.

As much as I love the moves NYR made, I would loved to grab Lafreniere. I think we'll fall back into a meh pick range, unless we luck out with the lottery, or one of our players gets traded and that team bombs.
