Despite having third smallest capacity.
Makes you wonder how many of those attending the games are locals vs people making a weekend out of a raiders game. Haven’t noticed the crowds cheer on the road team like you do for the chargers in LA. And even the Rams PO game it was basically a neutral site vs SF.

There's definitely a large contingent of SoCal Raiders fans that make the drive for games. Not sure the exact % but they do account for some of the season tickets.

It’s only an issue for the raiders if the tickets are being gobbled up by opposing fanbases and you see a sea of other teams colors instead of the black of the raiders.

From So Cal to LV is around a 4.5 hour drive. So to make the 1pm local kickoff, you’d have to head out by 8am minimum (probably 7am more likely) otherwise you have to overnight it in LV.

And lots of folks are hoping time reduces from SoCal with under construction high speed train.

It's not that getting to LV is that bad, but Sunday afternoon there can be 20 mile back up at California border. There is a plan to add lane(s) for traffic to help ease from 3 lanes to 2. (Announced by Nevada and California governors, months ago.)

Some may spend Sunday night and leave at zero dark thirty to head back to work.

The big spenders are paying a lot. It’s the only way they can be at the top of the revenue for ticket sales despite the stadium having the 3rd lowest capacity. Obviously it is a much different atmosphere in LV than in the old coliseum in Oakland to take in a game.

Despite having third smallest capacity.

Honeymoon period, combined with new stadium construction in all sports shifting towards prioritizing revenue per seat over total seating capacity. We’ve seen the stadium downsizing trend in many sports, with the NFL being one of the leaders.

The extra 10-20% of capacity in earlier stadiums tended to be the lowest revenue seats and disproportionately costly to build Into newer stadiums.

Plus with fewer seats one can charge more per seats as it restricts the supply. And you increase the chance of a sellout, which serves to both make for a better fan experience and a marketing point.
