When the NFL season returns, this national anthem issue is going to be interesting.

Can't believe the heat that Johnathon Isaac took for not taking a knee. Wasn't that his democratic right? He's a very respectful and thoughtful person. I wish everybody in pro sports was as mature and well spoken as he is.

Now there are those who are "celebrating" his catastrophic injury and calling it "karma." Total whack jobs.

His jersey is apparently flying off the shelves thanks to those who are supporters.

I'm hearing that NBA/MLB t.v. ratings have take a serious tumble since the season openers. NFL ratings will be interesting to watch too.

Wow, never heard that story. Apparently there is only ONE choice. And if you don't take it, you are a traitor.

As I knew would happen, the focus has now changed from "those who kneel" to "those who stand." Isaac was the only player on the team who stood and he was absolutely crucified by reporters after the game. I thought he might have to be escorted out by security that's how angry it was. Now he's out for the season so it won't matter but this whole thing is now a runaway train.

If you don't kneel along with the mob, prepare to be attacked by the mob. There are NBA players/coaches who have to explain why the STOOD UP for their national anthem, ridiculous.
Apparently freedom of expression only applies to one side of the spectrum.

Was he the one that stood because his grandma came from somewhere and was able to bring over like 20 people to the USA, so he was showing his respect to the Country that helped his family?

As for ratings, I don't know about NBA as they are really just starting their playoffs aren't they?

But MLB makes a lot of sense, the league is a joke and people aren't getting emotional invested in something that could be gone at the end of the week.

I could see if the guy was white(even though that would be wrong), but how can they crucify a black guy for making a decision like this?

Just get rid of the anthems so that we don't have to worry about this shit. This whole anthem being a platform for causes is getting ridiculous. No matter what you do you are f***ed.

Tend to agreed but they also went after him for not wearing the BLM T-shirt so you can't win. Submit or else- he's received a number of death threats.

Like someone on the tube said, once upon a time you went to a sporting event to relax, have fun and get away from politics.

So a black guy doesn't wear a blm shirt and people what think he doesn't care for black lives?

So f***ing confusing.

Did he pull a Sammy Sosa and start bleaching his skin?

Yes, he is quite the story. He said his Christian values meant that he shouldn't be disrespectful to others and he thought that kneeling would do just that. He's a unique guy and a real role model for kids.
