From what I've seen of Barcelona this season he's been lights out amazing, and he's capable of doing it all, playmaking, finishing, dribbling. He seems like a very complete player and his diving seems to have been toned down and he seems a bit stronger on the ball. From his play you can tell it's evident that he is not simply a product of Messi and Suarez, but clearly something special on his own.

Has he overtaken Ronaldo and/or Messi as the best (offensive) player in the world? If not, how soon do you think he will. He surely has to be the best behind those two. Everyone knew he was good before he crossed the pond, but did anyone expect him to be this good?

Nice little highlight video of his playmaking someone posted on r/soccer.

I think that Suarez is still in that discussion as well, but yeah on his current form I'd say he could definitely be argued to be the best in the world.

I think all three of Messi, Suarez and Neymar are better than Ronaldo though and probably have been for the last two years.

Messi is still the benchmark and will be for another 2 years...atleast.

It's really hard to tell though. Messi was pretty pedestrian for a while there until Suarez came and he shifted over to the right.

Everything about those 3 guys is . Their touches, movement, finishing, passing, etc. I've watched more video of MSN than porn since they've been put together.

I just do not see how they lose with those 3 guys playing. It isn't possible. There aren't too many things in sports that are a sure thing. Another treble is inevitable.

Im honestly impressed with him, i doubted his ability coming over from brazil with all the fanfare, to be a team player and actually pass the ball not take entire teams on. He's really stepped up in Messi's absence

Muller is good but does he have the vast number of tools that Neymar possesses? I think not.

I would put both Neymar and Suarez above Müller, but I can understand where Deficient Mode comes from. There isn't an aspect of the game Müller is bad at. Possibly the best positional player in football, clinical finisher, good playmaker, awesome work ethic. He doesn't have the flair of Neymar or Suarez, but he's crazy efficient. Awesome player, one of my favourites

Neymar has some tools that Müller doesn't have and Müller has some tools that Neymar doesn't. Different kinds of players. As WBS mentioned above, he excels at a lot of aspects of the game despite his awkward, gangly appearance. His ability to influence the match without the ball is unparalleled, too.

Neymar and Suarez are both clearly better than Muller. I see that as a very big stretch to try and say otherwise. Muller isn't even the best offensive player on his team.

Why does Neymar keep letting Messi take FK's that are for right footed players?

It happened again today

Especially since Neymar has converted a few of those this season

It's not clear at all and yes, he's the best regular/regularly healthy offensive player on his team.

Agreed. Suarez is on another level relative to other strikers in the world.

Muller produces, for team and country. On a level that's equal or better than pretty much everyone in the last five years.

He doesn't have the physical gifts/moves than the flashier players. But he works hard, and smarter than most. I'll take that everyday over the flash. So will any good coach.

Not a fan of Bayern, luke warm at best on the Germans. But Muller's smarts and production can't be dismissed

Granted I haven't watched much Bayern so I may be wrong, but I don't think Muller can created his own chances out of nothing like Neymar can?

From what I've seen Mullers abilities come from his ability to be in the right place on the pitch, whereas Neymar and just take the ball and beat two players and make something from nothing.

As long as Neymar has that attitude (see his pen against Roma), he won't win me over.

Neymar (as well as Suarez) to me is better than Muller. Muller is an excellent complimentary player.

Neymar is the 2nd best player in the world right now, easily.

He might surpass Messi on a couple years but I don't think he ever reaches his level... well, I honestly doubt I ever see someone play like Messi does.
