Next year is going to be a disaster, who's the idiot who makes most of these decisions? How many 86's are on the roster? 1! and 1 87! This is ridiculous, go to a coach that understands the WJC's this aing't the damn NHL!

Are you kidding? Who cares, we haven't won gold for a dog's age and if this veteran team is our best shot at gold then you go with it and worry about next year next year. Some people :dunno:

It's sutter's job to WIN, not to develop future teams just have other posters have said. Last years team was almost exclusively 85's and they almost brought it home. Besides if sutter would have cut older guys for younger players and lost everyone would be here complaining about how if we would have sent the older more experienced team we would have done better

Screw worrying about the future, its been 8 damn years since we've won a gold medal, if we can't win it this year, we won't be able to win it next year.

maybe next years team will be simliar to the 1997 team Canada with dube and some other players, they werent supposed to contend for a medal and wont he gold.....could be the same thing....i think canada will do well as long as not many guys beside barker and crsoby are in the show, i mean mostly brule and latendresse. this years draft seems to be another good one for Canada just like 2 years ago. it just depends on the amount of players for that year, sometimes canada has vertern teams sometimes they dont.

Frig, two 87's for Canada, McArdle(21 goals now) and Russell, a d-man(16 goals now) are lighting it up! Man the 87's look impressive!

Yeah this Kris Russell kid sounded very impressive tonight for Medicine Hat, where is he predicted to go in his draft year?

Blake Comeau will be 19 and could provide some leadership, toughness and grit. He can score the big goal as well.

International toruneys: 2 weeks to put forth the best team possible. There is no future. It's one shot. Do it right. Let next year's coach worry about the next year. Win at all costs.
