I took a work trip to Rhode Island in the dead of winter about 10 years ago and was never able to get the salt stains out of my dress shoes. I grew up in the south and didn't know that was a problem. Ever since then, I've always wondered why these aren't a thing anymore. In those days, I was wearing $50 department store shoes that had to be replaced every year, so it wasn't that big a deal. But now I'm on to Allen Edmonds (buy it for life type of thing) and I'd be terrified to tromp through a foot of salt and snow in them. Maybe shoe polish covers it up? For whatever reason, it didn't work on the shoes I had at the time, but maybe it would have on a better shoe.

Would be nice if they went ahead and announced the RBA extension at the rumored 2pm presser, but it most certainly will be an announcement about more fans in the building being allowed.

Following an extensive health and safety analysis of gametime conditions inside PNC Arena, the Carolina Hurricanes are excited to announce that we will return to a maximum capacity of 18,500 fans for playoff games starting on May 17 when the Canes take on the Nashville Predators in the first round of the Stanley Cup playoffs and we're not signing Brind'Amour. Information regarding other events will be released at a later date.

I moved out of a heavy snow area over 35 years ago and haven't been in job that requires formal business attire for over 20 years, so unfortunately I can't answer your question. But I think it's a good one; I wonder what people in that situation do these days? And it seems like it would be an even bigger problem for women.

Been shaving once a month since March of last year, because wearing a mask for 8 hour days at work with a proper beard was too much for me. Shaved at the beginning of this month hoping it would be my last shave (trims not included) for the foreseeable future. Thankfully it looks like we’re on the verge of reentering a more beard friendly climate.
Was a freshman at in high school during the 08-09 run so am glad to be a beard growing adult fan for these playoff runs the last couple of years.

Shitty timing for me having a bunch of interviews. Normally i shave every 2-3 days as is so growing out a beard right in the middle of the interview process would really nail down that "possibly homeless" look for me, when generally I'm more of a "fat bald Tom Dundon" look.
