The first Major League movie was light years a better movie than the 2nd, but damned if it didn’t have some incredible bits. Granted the first time I watched I was probably 12, But Bob Ueker opining that an outfielder would “ need a rocket up his ass to catch that one” as the play by play guy was one of the hardest laughing fits I’ve ever had.

I still can’t get past using the “Yellowstone” joke in commercials for the first movie, cutting it, and then putting it in the second movie. All of my friends and I recited the joke opening night because we were that familiar with the trailers for the first one.

Also after living in Milwaukee for a couple of years, Ueker wasn’t as obvious as his role but he would deadpan some jokes in his PBP that would slip right by if you weren’t paying attention.

Paquette contributes to the suffocating system of the Hurricanes

via Google Translate (French)
“Having been through Ottawa, I had a better idea of how to adapt with the Hurricanes. The guys made me feel very welcome and the coach (Rod Brind'Amour) is exceptional, he talks to me every day and he is honest about what he demands of you. To pick me up with a team that aspires to play for the Stanley Cup, I have lived it during my years with Tampa, ”compared Paquette who is aware of his luck.

“Of course I got into this rivalry with the Lightning quickly and it's kinda funny to say. I don't want to hurt my friends, but at the same time I want to be true to my style. It is certain that it is exhausting for the body. Besides, I have spoken to former teammates and they do not like to face us. It should be quite a series if we end up crossing them, ”said the 27-year-old southpaw.
Admits he had a rough go of it in Ottawa after being traded but feels fortunate now. Lots of positive comments re: RBA and details the differences between him and Jon Cooper. Clearly respects both a great deal.

Good interview. He's an interesting fellow.

Necas being the funniest guy on the team is interesting. We have a few who are outwardly funny but I don’t feel like Necas has been on that particular radar yet.

Also, Dougie read “The Queen’s Gambit” before the show was a thing. Noted literary scholar Dougie.

I mean if we were to guess on which Cane is in to Chess, Dougie or Svech seem like the two obvious picks there.

Technically that's not what he says. I mean, I read the A Song of Fire and Ice books only after Game of Thrones had become a thing, but I haven't watched the show.
