I don't give a shit who it is or what jerseys we wear. I want the game, and I want the game to sell out. That's it.

Pucky wasn’t even the mascot. The physical manifestation of pucky outside of a shoulder patch or in print didn’t happen until 2010 for the Connecticut Whale AHL team.

The only mascot the Whalers ever had was Wally the Whaler who did not go over well to say the least.

Probably means nothing, but there's mention of Bean currently training with Matthews, McDavid and other players in Arizona in the below article:

Auston Matthews, Connor McDavid sharing ice to prepare for 2020-21 season

Interesting that he's training in Arizona versus coming in early to the Canes' brand new practice facility with other current Canes.

I mean, with all due respect to the new facility, ice is ice.

Would you want to train with Connor McDavid and Auston Matthews, or Ryan Dzingel and Vincent Trocheck?

I see the point, but I also think it’s a pivotal year for Bean if he wants to make the Canes. And to that point, I’d think he would be one of the first and seemlingly hungriest guys to come to Raleigh early. Personally, I don’t see him ever playing for the Canes, so to me, it makes sense for him to be training elsewhere.

And there's the Boychuk.

Is he the guy that became the canes equipment manager?

Target is based in Minneapolis. Maybe someone somewhere in the company has a soft spot for his childhood team, saw the Whalers gear, and said, "f*** it, why not order some for the North Stars too?"

Or maybe they are pissed off in the State of Hockey that some New England team that were the Whalers get all the glory as the lost NHL team.

MINNESOTA NORTH STARS Trademark of NATIONAL HOCKEY LEAGUE Serial Number: 75774366 :: Trademarkia Trademarks

The Minnesota North Stars trademark seems not to be owned by Dallas Stars organization, but NHL.

But holy f***, also the wordmark Hartford Whalers is reported to be registered for the NHL in 2019. Application in October 2018.

HARTFORD WHALERS Trademark of NATIONAL HOCKEY LEAGUE Serial Number: 88152830 :: Trademarkia Trademarks

(Clothing, namely, caps being headwear, jerseys, leggings, pants, sweatpants, shirts, socks, sweatshirts, t-shirts)

There's something, excuse me, fishy in this setup. It used to be registered to Hurricanes Hockey not long ago.

Though, when the trademark troll Jay Kennette tried usurping the rights, NHL seems to have been part of the proceedings alongside Hurricanes Hockey. Lots of NHL email addresses, including [email protected] , the now-reported representant of the NHL.
