    Depends on what you're asking. In terms of raw numbers, the Knicks have more fans. Both teams generally sell out their arenas, regardless of how awful the teams may be.

    Even when the Rangers were good 5-7 years ago and the Knicks garbage, if they played on the same night, the Knicks were on the primary network. There will always be more Knicks fans than Rangers fans due to basketball being more accessible/marketable than hockey ever will be.

    Same with the Hawks & Bulls in Chicago. Despite the 3 Cups and the Bulls being a joke for 20 years outside of 2011.
