New to GM sims

I am new to these GM sims and such. What are the best free leagues and what are some tips to how these things normally run. Anything helps because I have never played a GM Sim before. Thanks in advance boys.

http://www.metroho.com - if you want to take over a team and manage a team. Daily activity is highly encouraged as it will help your team drastically (minimum 10 drills a day to help improve your players), play games (earn credits), and to make gm moves (signings, trades, waivers).

http://vhlsim.invisionzone.com - if you want to create a player and guide him through his career. This is a forum based game and weekly activity is highly encouraged as it helps your player.
