New League

There is a new minor pro league starting this season called the Canadian Elite Hockey League.

It's just starting off this season as a 4 team league but if the season goes well it will be expanding by at least 3-6 more team next year.

Teams that are involved this season are Dartmouth, Summerside, Cape Breton, Saint John.

I heard it was a semi-pro league in the same way the LNAH was when it was the QSPHL and then the QMSHL prior to last season. It's not a junior or amateur league.

Right, this is not a Jr league.

It's being "Billed" as "Semi-Pro"...

I'm not 100% but when I heard early rumblings about this earlier I was under the impression it was basically going to be a league for good beer league players.

Looks like Todd Hulsko may be playing for Saint John.. He has played in the DEL/AHL/NHL.
