Collars on football shirts are awesome. Reminds me of all those fantastic 90s kits.

*The* best era for kits.

Damn right, two of my all time favorite jerseys straight out of the mid 90's

Indeed, not surprising, as I am someone who asks uncomfortable questions. Rwanda ranks 167th in GDP per capita in the world, 159th in the UN's Human Development Index. According to the UN, 54% of the population live in poverty, 20% in severe poverty, 32% are illiterate and so forth. Rwanda received 1.1 billion $ in development aid from various sources in 2016. Are those development funds redirected to pay Arsenal? Is this proper use of funding in a poor country regardless?

Wealth is relative... Rwanda is doing better than a lot of African countries. One even hosted a WC.

Special mention needs made of Stoke which provides more marketing bullshit bingo than you thought possible:

Very nice, but...

The historic Premier League club Stoke City FC and Macron, the international leader in sportswear, presented the new 2018-19 kit. The"Potters", whose nickname derives from the renowned crafted pottery of Stoke-on-Trent, are the second oldest club in professional English football as well as one of the 12 founders of the Football League back in 1888.

The "Home" jersey presents the traditional red and white stripes (back and front) with white trims on the sleeves and around the Korean-style collar. The slim fit jersey has micromesh inserts to provide maximum breathability and red details on both jersey and shorts. The backneck is customized with the club's crest. The Macron logo is on the right side of the chest whereas the club's crest is embroidered on the left. The kit is finished off by white shorts and socks with a vertical red stripe.

The "Away" jersey for the next season has a really important chromatic impact with its light and dark purple and white inserts on the trims of the sleeves and around the V neck. The garment presents a sublimatic tone on tone graphic pattern, which divides the jersey in two parts, respectively light and dark purple, with a classic pin stripe pattern. The other technical details remain the same as the Home jersey, with purple socks.

Once again Macron confirms its leading role in the world of technical sponsorships. For Macron, sport means effort, sweat and willpower. “Work hard. Play harder” is not only the company’s pay-off, but also a philosophy which inspires the activities it carries out for teams, sportsmen and women with whom it collaborates, designing for them top quality technical products.

Was going to pick up Arsenal's away kit, but found their 16/17 away kit on sale for $50 on Fanatics.com. I don't have a yellow Arsenal shirt, so it was too good a price to turn down. Plus I like the look of this one, despite it being a little Dortmund-esque.

Arsenal are switching to Adidas next season, so unless the Adidas kits blow me away, I'm hoping to find this season's away kit on sale next summer.

Which clubs have a non-sponsor kit that I could get somewhere online for cheap? Outside of national teams?

I know there was that Roma one but I hate Roma tbh along with most Italian teams, wouldn't mind like a 2nd division English or German club or something.
