GDT: New Jersey Devils @ Philadelphia Flyers: The Walking Dead Edition

were the standouts to me. Carter may have saved a goal with an outstanding backcheck after he fumbled the to allow the odd man rush.
Jagr in the 3rd period looked like a man puck handling through a swarm of pee wees. He was making all sorts of crazy moves and cut backs then nearly lost it circling back at the blue line but his arm strength allowed him to reach out and keep the puck after a Flyer picked his pocket and was ready to go for a break the other way. He said no and kept it in somehow.
Henrique winning key draws in the D zone and even Chico commented how intent he looked and engaged. I wish this Henrique would show up more often and shoot rather than look to pass when he's in the slot.
Zids was able to dance around the comatose Flyers and keep pucks in the zone and play alive several times. He got bodied off the puck a few times but made up for it by chasing the play down after.
Can we play the Flyers 60 more times please?

Happy with the win. But then I saw Volch and Harrold got more ice time than Larsson and Gelinas, and was immediately filled with rage.

Volch actually played well. but I agree the other 2 should've played more. Remember Gelinas left the game early too though
just watched a replay of Janssen's goal again. Love his reaction. You can tell the guy has only scored 4 times in 313 games

volch played 22:41 last night and was a +2 with 3 hits and 3 blocked shots. not too shabby.

I hope this isn't a case of Gelly showing that he can "tough it out" or anything.
If he's really healthy enough to go, then fine.
But a night after suffering that injury? I don't know. I'd keep him out for precautionary reasons.

We were watching a game (vaguely recall it was against the Rangers) and the Devils have around 30 seconds left on the PP. Out comes Erik Rasmussen. I immediately yell at the TV "What the hell is Rasmussen doing on the ice?" Before I can finish the sentence, he scores a pretty nice goal.

A few years ago, a friend of ours came over to watch baseball. She's a big Dodger fan and was complaining about Andruw Jones. I think he was relatively new to LA after leaving the Braves. My buddy and I defended Jones, noted that he was one of the best defensive CF during his time in Atlanta.
Almost immediately after that declaration, he completely dogged it on a routine line drive. He ended up missing the ball completely and the batter got extra bases. From that point on, I hated Andruw Jones for making me look stupid.
