God I love this movie. I like to smoke a big... flavoured tobacco cigarette and watch that scene with Huey Lewis and the News.

Dedicate this game to the hope of getting new jerseys.

You are a clever one, sir. :sarcasm:

Why do you think brodeur is overrated?

I think it's called jealousy but what do I know, right?

Overrated, underrated....I'm just happy he was with my team for his entire career. :handclap:

BTW, I'm wondering how beloved Marty would be if he were a Senator and accomplished the same things here that he did in Jersey?

If he was a Senator, he'd be overlooked due to playing in a small market like Ottawa.

If he played his whole career in Ottawa, he wouldn't have the numbers he has now because this team can't play defense.

Yeah, but our previous teams could.

Our entire 2002-2007 run with Brodeur instead of Lalime/Emery might have netted us a cup, seeing as how without fail, every year our downfall was goaltending. Even if you don't consider Brodeur an All-Time-Top-5 goalie (or thereabouts), he was always a top-5 in whatever season he was playing. The difference between Brodeur & Lalime is astronomical.

I've always respected the Devils.

They've built Cup winning teams the right way (not relying on the lottery and crap like that) and they have remained competitive for years.

Having Kovy leave like that - I have a lot of sympathy given what we went through with Alfie - except Alfie was in his 40s and Kovy still had a lot of hockey to give.
