Talking about a Sabres goal song is like discussing the furnishings I want on my private jet.

I prefer a sleek look to the interior of my private jet.

I really like the recycled old growth Honduran mahogany in mine. Polishes to a nice gloss to complement the brass trim, fixtures, and hardware.

True story: College teammates and I were in south Florida in late 1980s. Met a guy with a Scarab with twin 454's who simply liked taking people out on it - we thought it may have been a possible cover for running drugs. A handful of us went out one day with him, got a tour of the Miami waterfront, also snorkeling, etc. Malcom Forbes 150-ft-long yacht Highlander V was in port, and we had to pee, so he maneuvered up next to it so we could relieve ourselves against the starboard hull.

Honestly - "Let Me Clear My Throat" is a HORRIBLE name for a song. I mean, it does not conjure up a pleasant mental image.

We should just call up Rochester's - it's a big improvement on ours.

'Spark' is a great choice for a goal song - I know Rochester changed to Showtek's 'Bad' this season. Here's the songs I use for my teams:

Buffalo Beauts: The Score - 'Legend' (previously: Flickerstick - 'Beautiful' - this song WAS in the Sabres' rotation post-2004 lockout)

The Canadian team and the fans had a blast with that Hey Baby song even though most of the kids had never heard it before. 70s pop hits do work well, they are easy to join in on and highly melodic. I grew up in the 70s and totally forgot this song existed before Guardians of the Galaxy gave it new life. The chorus would be great as a goal song

On YouTube somebody's got the goal horn and goal song of all 31 teams, ours is good, it was a pretty inspired choice surprisingly but I do want a new one(s).

The Blues do something nice, the goal horn and then quietly an old fashioned organ comes in with When the Saints Come Marching In - Sabre Dance is our jam, we're maybe the only team other than the Blues that has a famous piece of music like that matching our team name/logo, so I'd be happy to go back to the franchise's roots with the Sabre Dance.

Nataniel Rateliff and The Night Sweats - S.O.B. always gets me moving and its got the standard chorus/yell ("Whoaoaa, Whoaoao"). I'm sure the rink sound guy could chop it up into a short goal song that could work.

Seeing Vegas and Washington having smoke shoot up from the corners made me miss the smoke coming from the goat head on the jumbotron.

As a side note, Vegas has served as a great measuring stick for franchises around the league in terms of pregame and in-game presentations. Hopefully we see the Sabres step their game up (not holding my breath).
