Based on a question asked in Game 5, I thought of a fun GM game scenario, one that would last a full season. You GM a team exactly as it is after UFA signings are done. Any UFA signings after you take over get added to your team. You make trades as you see fit and your team only plays on actual game days. Winner of each game is determine by how many goals your players score with a catch. Any player you trade for also counts towards the goals your team gets in any given game. To account for the fact that players won't always be playing on your game day, any goals they score on a day you are not playing will count towards your next game. As an example, Edmonton beats Calgary 3-2, but the Calgary GM had two players they trade for each score a goal the day before, Edmonton doesn't have any players score the day before. In this scenario Calgary now wins 4-3 in our game. We will follow the old standard of W-L-T to make it fair. Wins are 2 points and ties are 1 point. Much will still need to be worked out for this, but does anyone think this could be a fun way to go about the season?
