I haven’t followed the league as widely as I normally do this year... which teams are currently looking for a new head coach, and which teams do you think will be between now and say the first couple months of next season? Who’s on the hot seat?
*also, what coaches, unemployed or maybe soon to be, would be most in demand?

I was just reading about Trotz’s potential new contract is being held up over what to do with Todd Rierden. If Trotz stays, Rierden is almost certainly leaving somewhat soon. The Caps have been grooming him as a potential replacement for Trotz, who was almost fired this season.
So either Trotz or Todd Rierden will be available this year. Either one should be sought after, people outside the Caps organization seem to love him as a potential coach.. the Caps wouldn’t let him interview the past year.
