Is he a bad skater or something? Why is he rated so low in the Final CSS rankings? What is your opinion of him? Links appreciated.

First scorer in the WHL for the 2004 draft-eligible...

    Brandon Dubinsky
    Center
    Anchorage (AK)

    Team: Portland (WHL)
    Hometown: Anchorage
    Country: United States
    Age: 18
    Height: 5-foot-11
    Weight: 180 pounds
    Shoots: left

    02-03 Portland (WHL) 44gp 8g 18p 26pts -6 35pim
    03-04 Portland (WHL) 71gp 30g 48p 78pts -4 137pim

According to McKeen's Hockey Prospect, he has mediocre top end speed... but he make a lot of points and can become an agitator in the NHL...

Here's the link, but it's a site for members...

For an '86 to put up those kind of numbers in the dub, you'd think he'd get a little more attention. I see he isn't that big, but how slow can he be?

Dubinsky is just too small to be very highly touted for the NHL draft. Every game I have seen he is easily the smallest player out on the ice. Also, his defensive game is seriously lacking for him to be anywhere an NHL defenseman. He is a good player for the WHL, but still has a lot to improve in his game. He also has a tendency to take a lot of dumb penalties. So while he can score with best of them, the other aspects of his need too much work to be high pick.
